About the presenter
Sierra Tervo is a Philosophy of History Ph.D. candidate at Liberty University. She holds a master’s degree in Public History and works as a Historical Interpreter at the Alamo as well as an adjunct professor at Christ Mission College in San Antonio. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, she has lived across the United States as a military spouse, an experience that has given her unique insight in the role Texas history plays in broader American and World history narratives. Her dissertation research centers on the U.S. Army Camel Experiment and its connection to nineteenth-century westward expansion.
