
Carol Lipscomb received her Ph.D. in American History from the University of North Texas in 2002. She has contributed numerous entries to The New Handbook of Texas and translated Robert S. Weddle’s After the Massacre: The Violent Legacy of the San Saba Mission. Her most recent book, The Lady Makes Boots: Enid Justin and the Nocona Boot Company, received several awards, including a Will Rogers Medallion Award. Dr. Lipscomb is an independent historian who continues to research and write from her home in Fort Worth.
