
David Preziosi, FAICP, Hon. AIA Dallas, serves as President and CEO of the Texas Historical Foundation, a statewide nonprofit that supports history and preservation projects through grants and advocacy. He joined the organization in 2022 after a decade as Executive Director of Preservation Dallas, where he expanded programming, events, and advocacy efforts for the city’s historic places.
Before returning to Texas, Preziosi spent 16 years in Mississippi, first in city planning for Natchez and later as Executive Director of the Mississippi Heritage Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, a Master of Urban Planning, and a Historic Preservation Certificate from Texas A&M University.
In recognition of his professional achievements, Preziosi was inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2018, received an Outstanding Alumni Award from Texas A&M’s College of Architecture in 2020, and earned the Texas Society of Architects’ 2024 Award for Excellence in the Promotion of Architecture through the Media in Honor of John G. Flowers.
