Dr. Erika Arredondo-Haskins is a scholar and educator whose work bridges history, leadership, and religion. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of the Incarnate Word, where she currently teaches Religious Studies and serves as Director of the UIW Young Women’s Global Leadership Program. Her academic background includes a BBA, an MA in Religious Studies, and an MS in Organizational Leadership.

Her research focuses on women’s and girls’ leadership and leadership in early Spanish, Mexican, and Texas history. Dr. Arredondo-Haskins serves as principal investigator and curator of Las Damas de Tejas: Notable Women in Texas, a traveling exhibition presented at schools and museums throughout the state. She has also contributed her expertise as a historical consultant for projects such as the History Channel’s Avenging the Alamo: The Road to Texas Rising and the San Antonio Tricentennial opera Sueños de Béjar.

Currently, she directs the Los Alcaldes de Béxar project, a scholarly initiative that explores and promotes the history of Texas’s first alcaldes from 1731 to 1836.
