
Hope Meredith serves as the Museum Specialist at the Spindletop Boomtown Museum at Lamar University, a position created in recognition of her commitment to research, historical accuracy, and lifelong learning. In this role, she oversees the museum’s collections and archives, provides staff training, and conducts engaging public tours that bring the history of Spindletop Boomtown to life.
Hope is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in History at Lamar University. As an undergraduate, she received the Dr. Andrew J. and Betty H. Johnson Editor Prize, and her paper, “Justice in Public Housing: Desegregation Efforts in Vidor, Texas,” was published in The Texas Gulf Historical and Biographical Record. Her work reflects a deep interest in public history and the preservation of Southeast Texas’s cultural heritage.
