Ben Hogan Company

How the Hogan Company Found and Lost Their Edge

Ben Hogan is one of the best professional golfers to call Texas home, and is, without question, one of the greatest players of all time. He started manufacturing golf equipment in the 1950s. He held his company and its products to the highest standards, and it was considered the finest equipment in the game. Mr. Austry has a unique perspective on the history of not only the company but also its owner Mr. Hogan. In 2024, Mr. Austry published his book The Hogan Edge. That work is the history of his time at the company and his relationship with one of the greatest golfers in history. Mr. Austry’s presentation will provide a unique insight into Texas golf history from both a personal and professional perspective.
