Roundtable · Session 22
The State Board of Education recently passed the most comprehensive overhaul of social studies standards in recent history. Texas school kids will learn about the state in new and exciting ways that turn names and dates into stories they will remember and apply. Culture gets made in classrooms, and this new approach will affect how our future citizens see themselves in the story of the state, nation, and world.
Come learn about and discuss the new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills from the elected officials and others who helped craft them in a curated panel conversation.
