Colton De Los Santos is pursuing a B.A. in Religious Studies with a Latin minor in the Liberal Arts Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin.

His research experience includes serving as an undergraduate research assistant to Dr. Elon Lang for The Hoccleve Archive and to Dr. Erica Bsumek for ClioVis at the University of Texas at Austin. He has also worked as a policy analyst and staff writer for the Institute for Youth in Policy.

Colton is active in community and volunteer engagement, serving as a judge for the Texas Forensics Association, a volunteer with The Augustan Society, and a guest instructor in World Schools Debate in Dripping Springs. He interned at The Pound House Farmstead and Museum in 2021.

His honors and awards include University Honors, membership in Eta Sigma Phi, ALD/PES Honor Societies, and the Liberal Arts Honors 102H Essay Prize at the University of Texas at Austin.

He is a member of the Texas Catholic Historical Society, the Texas State Historical Association, and The Augustan Society. Colton is fluent in English and reads Latin. His research interests include the literature of the Republic of Texas, Texian and Tejano religion, liturgical studies, religious inculturation and syncretism, civil religion, Catholicism in the American Southwest, and digital humanities.
