Jason S. Sullivan is a historian, writer, and digital storyteller dedicated to preserving the history of his hometown, Arlington, Texas. He serves on the board of the Arlington Historical Society and manages its newsletter and social media, where he helps connect community members with their shared past. His articles have appeared on the City of Arlington’s website and in the Arlington Public Library’s Black History Community Archive. In 2023, he received the Debbie Reynolds-Hazen Award recognizing emerging leadership in preserving Tarrant County history. His current research explores Arlington Downs, the horse racing track that brought big-time entertainment to small-town Texas between 1929 and 1937.
