
Miguel Hernandez Vasquez was born and raised in Mexico City and moved to Ciudad Juárez in 2006, where he earned a B.A. in History from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). He received his M.A. in History from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he was recognized as Outstanding Graduate Student in 2020. His academic interests include the history of science, epistemology, and the intersections between Western religion and the development of scientific thought.
Miguel has worked on environmental history projects with El Colegio de Chihuahua (COLECH) and has extensive teaching experience in history, geography, and ethics at the middle and high school levels in Ciudad Juárez. At UTEP, he has served as an archive assistant in the Library’s Special Collections department and currently works as a teaching assistant in the History Department.
