Clayton Jones is a junior high social studies teacher at Woden ISD. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history in 2023 and is currently pursuing a master’s in public history at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He has professional experience in museums, archives, and historic sites including the Ezekiel Cullen House, Stone Fort Museum, Old North Church Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery, East Texas Research Center, and Nacogdoches Historic Sites.

Jones’s background includes work in historic preservation surveys and nominations, grant writing, exhibit curation and interpretation, and object management. Academically, he is particularly interested in Texas history and has presented at conferences on topics such as the New London School Explosion, Cabeza de Vaca’s Expedition, and the preservation of Old North Church Cemetery. He is deeply committed to preserving history through education and public engagement.
