Henry Horenstein

Henry Horenstein is a photographer, author, and professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he has taught since 1981. His acclaimed work spans more than five decades and includes monographs such as Honky Tonk, Close Relations, Histories, and the forthcoming Miles and Miles of Texas (2025), a visual tribute to Texas culture, music, and people. His photography is held in major collections, including the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Getty Museum.

Randy Mallory

Randy Mallory is a veteran freelance writer and photographer whose work has appeared for decades in Texas Highways, Texas Co-Op Power, and for the Texas Historical Commission. His newly published book, The Fifty-Year Texas Road Trip: On Assignment from Earth to Uncertain (University of North Texas Press, 2024), reflects a lifetime spent documenting Texas history and culture through words and images.
